Hello, everyone! welcome to nikki’s yard!
We are a family run yard situated on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, near Buckfastleigh, South Devon.
Our philosophy to training is simple: get them fit and well schooled and educate the young horses well so they can reach their full potential, pay attention to detail with each horse’s care and training, be flexible and realistic!
We will follow horses progress, tell you of new arrivals, hopefully, have some funny stories!
Best Wishes,
Nikki

2019
TOMASIN A RI
2012, Gelding, Ask x Exit To Shannon
Tommy was here last season, he was very nervous when he first arrived, and it took a long time for him to grow up. He would worry about even the simplest things. Added to that he had some bad luck in running and nothing seemed to go his way. His best run was at Trebudannon. Will Biddick, rode him and we got some useful feedback, which gave us confidence to try him again this season. He did fall, but that fence was then omitted for the rest of the meeting as the landing side was a bog! Poor Tommy, it was a shame he wasn’t in a later race? I hope for his owners, Marks and Sparks, they have
2014, GELDING, SAKHEE x SEEM OF GOLD
Yet to be named!
But he is a lovely young horse and doing everything right so far, he is owned and bred by the Meaden, family.
2014, FILLY, SAKHEE x SEEMA
Also, yet to be named!
She is a lovely strong filly and I’m sure all the Meaden’s “babies” are very promising and it is so exciting to get them started.
RUPERT
2011, Gelding, Revoque x Step on the Bandit (His Dam is a name you may remember; we owned her, and she ran in a few point-to-points. Her name happened after she stepped on Dan’s dog Bandit, one day schooling!!!)
He is another big horse, he has been given time to mature by his owner! I am sure he will enjoy starting his career and I am looking forward to him very much.
